Derek's first word is Blankie, he has only said it a handful of time but both Brian and I have heard it and he just says it when he sees his favorite lovey.

He seems to be understanding what we say more and more, the other day he even fetched his shoes after we said we were headed outside.

His other trick is if you ask for a kiss he can make a kiss sound. Though he doesn't always comply... There is a video of it in the new Aug. album.

Derek is such a good walker now.

Here he is in this new Thomas sun glasses his nannie got him.... So cute if I say so myself. There are some other new pictures the nanny took in the July and August misc. albums.

Last weeks recap:

• Friday we spend the morning at the Dr. office and getting x-rays on Rachel's hip (she didn't want to put weight on it and complained it hurt), but nothing was wrong and 30 minutes after some Motrin she was her normal self.
• Sat. was neighbor Erin's B-day.
• Sunday we got the baby pool out for the kids in the backyard (see Aug album for 1 picture)
• Monday we did a make-up music class.
• Rachel has camp this week.
