August Update

I'm so far behind in blogging! My plan was to write something quick once a week, then I thought maybe every other, then maybe once a month....

Derek:

- 2nd word is Rachel (Pronounced Achel)
- now is 15 months old - but I don't know his stats because I can't get into the Dr. for 3 weeks (I think our Dr. has gotten popular with her new office - bad for me)
- HATES school! He's gone 5 times now, first day he cried 3 hours straight I had to go get him early, now were down to only 1.5 hours of crying... it's awful, but I'm determined that he will learn to like school (hope that's the case).

Rachel:

- Loves school
- Started Dance class - it's the cutes thing!!! i love watching the class.

Lots of new pictures have been posted:

- Aug. 22/23 Albums are from me taking the kids to WI without Brian, flying alone with them was a challenge but it worked out fine. We got to do a lot with my fokes, Bay Beach - Rachel rode her first Farris wheel and loved it (I thought it might scare her), she also loved the marry-go-round. She loved feeding the birds at the wilderness area. We also went to the new NEW zoo (NorthEast WI) - you can feed giraffes there - how cool it that! I also got to hang out with my high school friends one night that was fun.

- Aug 30 - We went with Laura and Terry and kids on the Bertram Train ride, Bertram was having an oatmeal festival. They had a parade, every 'float' threw candy which the kids loved running for. But it sure made me fell like I was in TX... The toothless old men carrying Confederate flags, the local beauty queens, and the locals on horseback. The coolest thing was that an airplane flew over us ~3 times dropping dried oatmeal flakes... it was snowing :-) see the Misc Aug Album,

- Misc Aug Album also has some other new pictures of the kids.... Rachel likes dressing up now, especially hats and her hula skirt. Derek loves sun glasses. Some of Kathleen's pictures are there too, the jumpee place, the children's museum, the mall, and at home.

- Brian and I took a kid free day and went wine tasting for Denise and Nathan's B-days - it was a blast. We ended at Mandola Winery - what a pretty place - worth the drive for a nice dinner. (see the 2 pictures mama hood took in the Misc. Sept album).

- I hosted bunko last night (I'll post the 3 pictures I took later in Misc. Sept), it's always fun.

All I can remember since the last post....
